Standard: Compare the roles and responsibilities of state elected leaders

Biblical Perspective

God created Adam and Eve in Eden garden in the beginning of the world. He want them to control the garden and they had responsible to maintain Eden garden. Likewise, God gives governments to serve, lead the people, and maintain the earth. God gives authority to government. That authority are describe as “Servants of God”, reflecting God’s justice, and mercy rather than ruling unequally.

However, government (humans) use that authority unwisely by corrupting, controlling unjustly. In consequences, they have conflicts between each others. For example, when country has domestic conflicts, which lead the whole country to be undeveloped, and face challenging in Education. Some countries like developed countries, governments allow to do sinful activities, like using drugs officially, and permit to marry same sex, destroying God’s creation, and falling short of God’ holiness.

Nowadays, students have to learn about the role and responsibilities of governments in right ways. They have started to know true government because God always show the truth from brokenness.

As Christian teacher get chance to guide the true behaviors of Government, as servants of God. After learning about the true government, students will aware and act the justice, the truth, and the behavior of government, by serving people with love, glorifying God in the future.

Therefore, children have to consider that they are partner in God in governing the nations. When government control with God’s authority, the several countries will be the ones that God want to be.
